Meet the Amish Artisan Behind These Handmade Rugs and Table Runners

Tucked away on a quiet country road in Pennsylvania, just past the sign that reads “No Sunday Sales,” is a hidden gem run by a soft-spoken Amish woman and her disabled son who've  been weaving by hand for decades. Her small shop, filled with the hum of looms and the scent of fresh yarn, is where she creates stunning hand-loomed shag rugs, table runners, and placemats—each piece crafted with intention, tradition, and care.

From the rows of yarn spools lining her wooden thread rack to the rainbow piles of textured fibers waiting to be woven into something beautiful, this space is a living tribute to slow, meaningful craftsmanship.

Susan and Sammy do not  use the internet, take card payments, or adertise beyond the wooden sign at the end of Hollow Lane. Their world is simple—but their work is extraordinary. We’re honored to partner with our Amish friends and help bring their creations online, so more than just the local community can experience the magic  Susan and her son Sammy are weaving out here, one rug at a time.
